The August Havurah Potluck needs a host and location.
The date is Friday August 11th — Can you host?
We’re reviving the Havurah tradition of potlucks in members’ homes. We will gather in each other’s homes to briefly welcome Shabbat, meet old friends and welcome new ones and enjoy a delicious potluck meal. Bring friends and family to share a potluck dinner on the 2nd Fri evening of each month.
Monthly potlucks were a part of our Jewish community from the very start. The Havurah (meaning a “group of friends”) started as an informal group of social get-togethers in 1986. First known as the Jewish Study Group, the group quickly prospered and held frequent potluck gatherings.

If you’re considering hosting, and are unsure of Friday night Shabbat traditions, the Havurah will happily supply the challah and wine and lead a brief kiddush (blessing to welcome the sabbath). Have more questions or want to volunteer? Email us at email@example.com
